STUF United Fund’s donation of $9,890 to the Community Skills Development Organization (CSD) was used to purchase equipment and materials to provide training for women in South Sudan. This helps them be engaged in tailoring and hairdressing programs.

The items helped build the productive capacity of 47 women on tailoring and hairdressing and launched new economic activities, such as sewing students’ uniforms, and other sellable items; repairing clothes and creating and servicing knitted goods.

The hairdressing training class included both modern and local traditional methods and skills.

These activities help women raise some income for themselves, so they are able to improve nutrition, meet medical bills and register their children in school. This improves their overall quality of life!
